Rooted in Community. Built for the Future.

Every jar of Shea butter we export carries the story of the Ghanaian women who made it possible.

For us, sustainability is not a marketing term — it is the way we do business. From the way we source our Shea nuts to the way we treat our farming communities, every decision we make is guided by a commitment to people and planet. When you buy from us, you are not just purchasing a product — you are supporting a chain of positive impact that starts in the villages of northern Ghana.

Supporting Women in Ghana

The Shea industry in Ghana is almost entirely powered by women. These are hardworking mothers, grandmothers, and young women who have been harvesting and processing Shea nuts using traditional knowledge passed down through generations. We work directly with women cooperatives in northern Ghana and are committed to:
Paying fair prices — We pay above-market rates to ensure our farmers earn a living wage.
Providing consistent demand — We give advance notice of our orders so cooperatives can plan and prepare.
Building long-term relationships — We do not switch suppliers for small price differences. We invest in loyalty and trust.
Supporting skills development — We share knowledge on quality standards and post-harvest handling to help cooperatives improve their output and earn more.
When women thrive, communities thrive. That is the foundation of our business.

Environmental Responsibility

Shea trees are a vital part of the West African ecosystem. They take decades to mature and play a critical role in preventing desertification and supporting biodiversity. We take our responsibility to protect them seriously.
Our environmental commitments include:
No Shea Tree Cutting: We strictly prohibit the cutting of Shea trees for any reason. All harvesting is done by collecting naturally fallen nuts from the ground.
Minimal Waste Processing: We reuse or responsibly dispose of all processing byproducts including Shea shells, which are used locally as fuel, reducing waste to near zero.
Responsible Packaging: We use recyclable kraft paper bags and minimize plastic use across our packaging wherever possible.
Efficient Logistics: We plan our shipments to maximize container loads, reducing the number of trips and our overall carbon footprint per kilogram exported

Traceability

We believe buyers have the right to know exactly where their Shea butter comes from. Our supply chain is transparent and traceable from harvest to shipment. Upon request, we can provide:
The specific regions and cooperatives your product was sourced from.
Harvest season and processing dates.
Full batch documentation and quality records.
Traceability is not just good ethics — it is good business.

Our Vision

We envision a future where Ghanaian Shea butter is recognized globally not just for its quality, but for the positive impact it creates at its source. We are working toward:
  • Expanding our cooperative network to reach more women farmers.
  • Achieving Fair Trade and organic certifications to open new markets.
  • Investing in better processing infrastructure to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Planting new Shea trees in degraded areas to support long-term supply.

For Ethical Buyers

If your brand values sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social impact — we are the right supplier for you. We can provide:
Sourcing stories and community photos for your marketing materials.
Supply chain transparency documentation.
Impact reports on request.
Many of our buyers in Europe and North America use our sustainability story as part of their own brand identity. We are happy to support that. Your customers care about where ingredients come from. So do we.
