Our Process
Ethical Sourcing
Our Shea butter journey begins in the Shea belt of northern Ghana, where women cooperatives hand-harvest Shea nuts during the harvest season. We work directly with these communities, paying fair prices and building long-term relationships that ensure a consistent, reliable supply. No middlemen. No exploitation. Just honest trade.
Sorting & Cleaning
Once harvested, the Shea nuts are carefully sorted by hand to remove damaged, immature, or foreign materials. Only the best quality nuts move forward to processing. This step is critical to ensuring the final product meets international quality standards.Every nut is inspected before processing begins.
Processing
The sorted nuts are then cracked, roasted, and ground using traditional and modern methods to extract the natural Shea butter. For our raw unrefined product, minimal processing is used to preserve the natural vitamins, scent, and color. For our refined product, additional processing removes scent and color while maintaining quality. No harsh chemicals. No artificial additives. Ever.
Quality Control & Testing
Before any product is packaged, every batch undergoes strict quality control checks. We test for: Moisture content Free fatty acid levels Peroxide value Color and texture consistency Absence of contaminants Only batches that meet our quality standards are approved for packaging and export. Full quality documentation is available for every shipment upon request.
Packaging
Approved batches are packaged in food-grade, export-ready materials designed to preserve freshness and quality during long-distance shipping. We offer: 25kg cartons 50kg cartons 190kg drums Custom packaging on request All packaging is clearly labeled with product name, grade, net weight, batch number, country of origin, and production date. Packaging can be customized to meet your country's import labeling requirements.
Export & Documentation
We handle all export formalities from our end, including: Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Loading. All shipments are dispatched from Tema Port, Ghana on FOB terms. We work with reliable freight forwarders to ensure your order arrives on time and in perfect condition.
